“The Sovereign LORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.” Is. 50:4
“Who can fathom the Spirit of the LORD, or instruct the LORD as his counselor?” Is. 40:13
“…for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” Luke 12:12
“In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat– for he grants sleep to those he loves.” Psalm 127:2
“Trying to do the Lord’s work in your own strength is the most confusing, exhausting, and tedious of all work. But when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you.”

God,
I need your instruction and wisdom, because on my own I spin my wheels unproductively. Thank you for your Word and the instructions it gives each day. My words feel like gravel in my mouth as I try and speak hope to those hurting far more than I can grasp. All I do on my own is futile unless you are in it. I pray for rest, peace and strength. You are faithful. You are a good God who gives good gifts. Thank you for giving me the words and the confidence to follow you where you lead. In Jesus name. Amen.
Favorite, favorite! prayer ever. Did you write this just for me? Spin my wheels unproductively! Gravel in my mouth. Ha! So often my default. *hangs head* These are so cool. I was thinking that I could read one a day each month, just like Proverbs, repeating them until they are burned onto my sub-conscious.
You make my blush. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement.
